Detailed BITSAT 2025 paper analysis will be posted on exam days. The analysis will include subject-wise breakdowns for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, overall difficulty, student reactions and recommended good attempts. You can also review analyses from previous years until the new ones are published.
In comparison to JEE Main, BITSAT is generally considered somewhat easier in question difficulty and competition intensity. Although syllabi overlap significantly, JEE Main typically tests deeper conceptual understanding while BITSAT questions tend to be more direct.
Regarding competition, far fewer students appear for BITSAT than for JEE Main. Around 3 lakh students take BITSAT annually versus roughly 15 lakh for JEE Main, which makes the competition for JEE Main tougher in terms of candidate volume.
Comparing BITSAT and NEET, both exams are of moderate difficulty but differ in subject focus and weightage. Physics and Chemistry levels are similar to JEE and NEET; for B.Pharm aspirants, NEET papers can offer useful practice for the biology section.
BITSAT 2025 question papers, answer keys and solution PDFs will be posted for each test slot and date. Each paper contains 130 questions divided into multiple sections.
Shortly after each slot finishes, the question paper PDF and detailed solutions will be published at the links provided below.
Session 1 result updates will be posted here as they become available. The on-screen result shows counts of correct and incorrect answers and the total score; you need to enter your score to confirm viewing before logging out.
You can also download your BITSAT 2025 scorecard from bitsadmission.com a day after the exam by logging in with your credentials.
The BITSAT score is displayed to candidates immediately after the test finishes, ensuring a transparent process. Students can print their score report for future reference via the official portal.
As a reference from past years, a score of around 240 is generally considered respectable for many programs at BITS campuses. We’ve compiled a preliminary list of programs that typically accept candidates with scores in that range.
Although scoring 300 is above average, to secure admission into the most competitive branches you should target a score of 370–380 or higher.
Below are straightforward steps to check your BITSAT 2025 results for quick reference.
BITS Pilani will prepare merit lists based on BITSAT 2025 scores for all eligible registered candidates. Separate merit lists are compiled for engineering and B.Pharm programs.
If two or more candidates have identical scores, tie-breaking rules (listed below in priority order) will be applied to determine rank.
To estimate your likely rank, refer to the BITSAT marks vs rank analysis compiled from previous years’ data.
BITSAT 2025 cut-offs will be released after counselling concludes. The cut-off is the minimum required score for admission to particular B.E specializations at BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad. We provide expected and historical cut-offs to help you assess admission chances.
The BITSAT 2025 admission process includes taking the BITSAT exam, submitting 12th marks and course preferences, checking seat-allotment iterations, paying the seat acceptance fee and reporting to the allotted campus for document verification.

The BITSAT college predictor helps students estimate which BITS campus and B.E specializations they may be eligible for based on their score out of 390. Predictions are based on previous years’ cut-offs for each program and campus.
Q. Is a score of 200 in BITSAT considered good?
A. Whether 200 is a good score depends on the campus and the program. For programs such as B.E. Civil, B.Pharm, B.Sc. Chemistry and B.Sc. Biological Sciences, a 200 can be competitive at some BITS campuses. For high-demand branches like B.E. Computer Science or B.E. Electrical & Electronics, scores above 250 are typically more competitive.
Q. Can I attempt BITSAT twice?
A. Yes. BITSAT allows two attempts (one in each session). If you take both sessions, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission. Candidates who register for Session 1 and wish to appear in Session 2 must pay the additional registration fee (male and female rates vary).
Q. What is the BITSAT 2025 exam pattern?
A. BITSAT 2025 consists of 130 questions to be attempted in three hours. The paper is divided into four parts: Part I — Physics, Part II — Chemistry, Part III — English and Logical Reasoning, and Part IV — Mathematics/Biology. If you finish the 130 questions early, you may be offered up to 12 extra questions. Scoring awards +3 marks for a correct answer and −1 mark for an incorrect one.
Q. What are the fees at BITS Pilani for 2025?
A. The total estimated tuition for four years at BITS Pilani is approximately INR 20 lakh. The first semester fee is around INR 2,45,000. Semester fees are subject to revision by the institute.
Q. Is BITS better than IIT?
A. “Better” depends on what you value: IITs generally have stronger national brand recognition and deep research programs, while BITS offers flexible curricula, strong industry connections and excellent placement records for many courses. Consider program fit, campus culture, research opportunities and placement statistics when comparing them.
Q. Is BITSAT admission based on marks or rank?
A. Admission to BITS campuses is based on the BITSAT score out of 390. Merit and admission lists are prepared using these scores rather than a separate rank list.
