NTA does not publish a fixed “CUET passing marks.” Instead, each participating university sets its own eligibility criteria and minimum cutoff percentiles for admission.
Based on previous trends, a score above the 35–40th percentile is often treated as the basic eligibility threshold for some courses at lower-tier universities.

CUET UG 2025 results are calculated using the normalised score rather than raw marks because the exam is conducted over multiple days and shifts.
NTA applies an equi-percentile method to normalise marks across different shifts.

Courses offered through CUET UG 2025
More than 250 colleges are participating in CUET UG 2025, offering an estimated 3.5–4 lakh undergraduate seats across institutions.
Seat intake depends on the university, the course and the candidate category. Central universities such as DU, BHU and JNU have some of the highest intake numbers.
What counts as a good score depends on your target university, course and category; generally, scores above 1000 open many options at top-ranked institutions and courses.
A score of around 200 is likely to limit options to state universities or lower-cutoff private colleges. Admissions to major universities such as DU or JNU usually require substantially higher scores, often above 850.
Marks-versus-rank estimates can help candidates gauge admission chances. Marks reflect correct responses, while rank shows your relative position among all test takers.
CUET ranks are given as percentiles and will vary with the overall performance of candidates.
The CUET UG 2025 cut-off is the minimum percentile or score required to secure admission to a particular course at a participating university; it varies by university, course and category.
Course-wise cutoffs indicate the minimum normalised score or percentile needed to gain admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by participating universities.
Cutoffs are influenced by several factors such as the number of applicants, exam difficulty and seat availability, and therefore differ by course, category and university.
Over 250 universities across India accept CUET UG 2025 scores for undergraduate admissions.
These include central, state, deemed and private universities. Each institution will publish its own cutoffs and merit lists based on CUET scores and handle counselling through its website.
