Step 1: Visit the official GMCET website at gmcet.org and click the "Apply Now" button. Step 2: Complete the registration form with accurate details. Step 3: You will receive an automated message with your username and password on the registered email or phone number. Step 4: Log in to the portal, finish the application form, then click "Pay Now" to submit the application fee of INR 1000/-. (Note: Payment options include UPI, Paytm, debit/credit cards, PayU, and net banking.) Step 5: Once payment is successful, you can view the application summary and payment receipt on your dashboard.

The GMCET 2025 exam lasts one hour and contains 100 multiple-choice questions, each with one correct answer, for a total of 100 marks. The test is divided into four equal sections of 25 questions each: (A) English Language & IQ; (B) General Knowledge of News & Current Affairs; (C) Entertainment Media Knowledge; and (D) Brands & Brand Communication Basics. The GMCET pattern for 2025 is shown below.

According to the GMCET 2025 marking scheme, each correct answer earns 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions.

Responding to candidate requests, the exam is offered online. You may take the test on a mobile device, laptop, or desktop computer.

Applicants seeking admission to undergraduate media programs at participating universities must follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Attend a personal interview as part of the selection process.

Depending on your online test score, you may be called for document verification and counselling sessions. Candidates who clear all stages of the process will move forward in admissions.

Step 2: Participate in university counselling sessions for admission. After selection, complete the admission formalities and pay the required course fees.

Test Centres: GMCET 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates will be assigned a time slot and should join at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Slot timings for the exam day will be communicated a day in advance via the registered email and mobile number.
