Steps to check HBSE Class 10 results via SMS are provided by the board as an alternate method:
Students must secure the prescribed minimum marks to pass HBSE Class 10. Candidates appear in five main subjects plus one optional subject. To pass, a student must obtain the HBSE minimum passing marks in at least five subjects. Each subject has a total of 100 marks (theory + practical). The minimum passing requirement is 33% in each subject as well as in aggregate. Main subjects in HBSE Class 10 (2025) include the core five subjects.
Students may choose an additional subject such as Urdu, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Physical Education, Computer Science, Home Science, etc. If a student fails in one main subject but passes the additional subject, the additional subject can replace the failed main subject for the purpose of certification. Passing marks for theory are 26 out of 80 and for practicals are 7 out of 20.
