The JCECE 2025 is a state-level entrance test organized by JCECEB for admission into first-year degree programmes such as B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.F.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry.

JCECE 2025 was scheduled for 15 June 2025. Applications were accepted from 20 April through 20 May 2025. The exam is split into three subject groups — PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology). PCM/PCB contain 150 MCQs each, while PCMB includes 200 MCQs. Each correct response earns +1 mark and each incorrect response carries a -0.25 penalty.

Admit cards for JCECE 2025 were expected to be released in the second week of June 2025, just prior to the exam. The JCECEB planned to announce results in July 2025, followed by the counselling schedule beginning the same month.

JCECE 2025 — Key Updates

The JCECE 2025 exam took place on 15 June 2025. The online application window ran from 20 April to 20 May 2025. Admit cards were anticipated to be available on 10 June 2025.

The examination was held offline (pen-and-paper) across three shifts at designated centres in Ranchi and Dumka.

Applicants are advised to choose their preferred test centre carefully during registration, as centre changes are not permitted after submission.

JCECE 2025, conducted by JCECEB, offers admissions to programmes such as B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.F.Sc., provided by various government and private institutions in Jharkhand focusing on agriculture, veterinary science, dairy technology and fisheries.

The final date to submit the JCECE application form was 20 May 2025. Applicants must complete the submission online on the official portal.

According to the JCECE 2025 exam format, the test was conducted offline in English and Hindi. Candidates selected their preferred language during application. PCM/PCB groups had a duration of 3 hours, while PCMB candidates were allotted 4 hours. PCM and PCB had 150 questions each; PCMB had 200 questions in total.

The JCECE 2025 syllabus follows the Class 12 CBSE Science curriculum and is organised into three subject groups.

For JCECE 2025, each of the PCM and PCB groups contained 50 questions per subject, adding up to 150 questions for those groups.

Applications for B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology) and B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/Forestry were accepted from 20 April 2025 to 20 May 2025.

The JCECE Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) was scheduled for 18 May 2025, 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Candidates could register until 30 April 2025 via the official site.

This state-level test provides lateral-entry admission into the second year (third semester) of diploma engineering and polytechnic programmes across Jharkhand.

JCECEB opened the Lateral Entry application form for the Diploma Entrance Competitive Exam from 23 March to 16 May 2025. The exam date was set for 8 June 2025, 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Engineering Lateral Entry exam, organized by JCECEB, grants direct admission to the second year (third semester) of certain B.Tech courses in Jharkhand. Applications ran from 23 March to 16 May 2025, with the exam scheduled on 8 June 2025, 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Applicants must upload several documents in specified formats and sizes while filling the JCECE 2025 application. Following the stated specifications ensures a smooth submission process.

The JCECE 2025 application fee varied by category and chosen subject group.

JCECEB announced eligibility criteria detailing who may apply for undergraduate programmes in Jharkhand.

Educational qualifications, age limits and minimum required marks differ across courses.

The JCECEB was expected to issue the JCECE 2025 admit card in the second week of June 2025, a few days before the exam, via the official website.

Results for JCECE 2025 were anticipated in July 2025 on the official portal. A merit list would be prepared from exam scores, and category-wise lists would determine seat allotment eligibility.

JCECEB will publish the JCECE 2025 cutoff after the results. Based on past trends, BIT Sindri’s cutoff tends to be more competitive than GEC Palamu — for example, B.Tech CSE cutoffs ranged roughly from Rank 112 to 204, while branches like Electrical and Mechanical had mid-range cutoffs from about 498 to 865 in Round 3.

GEC Palamu typically shows higher cutoff ranks, with B.Tech CSE appearing around Rank 2131 in Round 3 and other branches like Electrical, Mechanical and Civil ranging between approximately Ranks 3167 and 3746.

Solving previous years’ questions is valuable; practising PYQs helps you get familiar with the exam pattern and improve preparation.

JCECEB expected counselling for 2025 to begin in July 2025, following the announcement of results and the merit list on the official website.
