Section-wise breakdown:
Each section contains 30 MCQs (150 questions in total). The overall time is 120 minutes and candidates can distribute minutes across sections as needed.
Scoring by section:
How percentiles are calculated:
Percentile represents the percentage of test-takers who scored below a candidate. For example, a 98 percentile means the candidate scored higher than 98% of examinees.
MAT score vs percentile — explained:
IITs typically do not accept MAT scores for MBA/PGDM admissions; they usually rely on exams like CAT, and some may consider XAT or GMAT for select programs.
Practicing past papers and mock tests is one of the best ways to boost your MAT score. Download previous-year question papers and sample tests for practice.
MAT 2025 is expected to be of moderate difficulty. Language Comprehension and Reasoning are often easier, while Mathematical Skills and Data Analysis tend to be more time-intensive and challenging.
With 150 MCQs across five sections, regardless of mode, candidates should follow a balanced strategy that covers all topics and ensures timely completion of the exam.
