The State CET Cell published the MHT CET 2025 results on 16 and 17 June 2025 for PCM and PCB respectively on cetcell.mahacet.org, along with the MHT CET scorecard.
Expected MHT CET cutoffs for 2025 vary by category. General category candidates typically face a qualifying mark near 90 out of 200, while reserved categories generally have a lower threshold close to 80 out of 200.
Branch-wise expected cutoffs show intense competition: Computer Science around 160+, Artificial Intelligence about 158+, and Data Science near 157+, reflecting strong demand for these programs at top colleges.
High scorers: Candidates scoring above 150 are considered top performers (99+ percentile) and can target institutes like COEP Technological University, VJTI Mumbai, and SPIT Mumbai.
Good performers: Scores between 120–140 typically correspond to a 97–98 percentile; such students can consider colleges like Vidyalankar Institute of Technology and Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies.
Lower-range scores: Scores below 100 are viewed as below average, suitable for many state private colleges.
The counselling process begins after the MHT CET 2025 results. Eligible candidates must complete CAP registration online at cetcell.mahacet.org and follow the allotment rounds to secure seats.
The Maharashtra government has specified required documents for MHT CET 2025 counselling to validate eligibility and identity. Candidates must upload items such as the scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, and domicile certificate to confirm Maharashtra residency.
Participating colleges will publish their individual cutoff lists once results are out. Candidates must meet those cutoffs to gain admission into their chosen institutes.
Listed below are participating institutes for engineering and pharmacy programs.

Steps to complete the MHT CET 2025 application form are listed below for convenience.
MHT CET is generally regarded as moderately challenging. Since the syllabus covers Class 11 and 12 material, a solid preparation strategy is essential to maximize scores and secure preferred college admissions.
Example study timetable to structure your preparation:
MHT CET difficulty is moderate compared with national-level exams like JEE Main or NEET, but it requires consistent practice and concept clarity to score well.
Passing marks are 45% (90/200) for General category and 40% (80/200) for reserved categories. Meeting passing marks alone does not guarantee admission; candidates must meet college-specific cutoff marks.
A score above 120 is considered strong for MHT CET 2025. Such candidates can target reputable colleges and branches.
Achieving a 90 percentile gives candidates a good shot at admission to several top colleges across Maharashtra.
No — admission to IITs is not possible through state-level CETs like MHT CET. IIT admissions require qualifying JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
