OJEE

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2025 Special Session for B.Tech., LE‑Tech (Diploma), LE‑Tech (B.Sc.), MBA, MCA and B.Pharm was held on July 15–16, 2025 in computer‑based test (CBT) format. The second/special OJEE 2025 rank card was published on the official website (ojee.nic.in) on July 23, 2025.

The 2nd/special OJEE 2025 for B.Sc. Nursing is scheduled for July 29, 2025. Registration is open from July 8 to July 15, 2025 (11 PM) at ojee.nic.in.

Candidates who did not appear in OJEE 2025 or JEE Main 2025 must submit the special application form; those who already appeared for either exam do not need to apply again.

Ranks from the 2nd/special OJEE will be used to fill seats left vacant after the first phase of counselling. Outside‑state candidates cannot claim seats in government colleges but are eligible for admission to private colleges.

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board released the OJEE Result 2025, scorecard and merit list on June 10, 2025 at https://ojee.nic.in. Cutoffs for B.Tech, MBA/MCA, Pharmacy and Architecture will be announced after the results and will vary by category and course.

Based on previous years' trends,

The total intake for OJEE 2025 across MBA, MCA, M.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Tech is estimated to exceed 35,000, with over 8,000 seats for MBA and around 12,000+ seats for MCA.

The OJEE Board published the OJEE Result 2025 and the OJEE 2025 scorecard online on June 10, 2025.

Approximately 70,000–80,000 candidates registered for OJEE 2025; roughly 60,000–70,000 are expected to have appeared and an estimated 55,000–65,000 may qualify, implying a pass rate near 80–85%.

After results are announced, candidates can download the OJEE 2025 scorecard which will display personal details, marks and rank.

The OJEE 2025 cutoff is the minimum score needed for admission to various programs (B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Pharm). Cutoffs differ across categories, colleges and courses.

Cutoffs will be declared after the results and will depend on factors such as exam difficulty, number of applicants and available seats.

Compared to national exams like JEE Main or CAT, OJEE is generally easier to crack.

With a focused study plan, firm grasp of the syllabus and practice of previous papers, many students can obtain strong ranks.

Since the exam tests basic concepts, consistent preparation helps most candidates perform well.

Expected OJEE cutoffs vary by course and category. Engineering branches such as CSE, EE and ME are most competitive — for example, CSE cutoffs can go up to around 12,000 for the general category. Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, EWS) usually have lower closing ranks.

Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and architecture (B.Arch) generally face less competition; general category cutoffs for B.Pharm and B.Arch may extend up to about 40,000 and 14,000 respectively. MBA programs often have very low top cutoffs, sometimes within the top few hundred for premier seats.

Engineering remains the most competitive domain, while pharmacy, architecture and MBA offer more accessible options, especially for reserved‑category applicants.

The OJEE marks vs rank mapping shows how scores translate into ranks in OJEE 2025.

What counts as a good rank depends on the program, category and seat availability.

Candidates with ranks in the 1,000–2,000 range are likely to secure seats at top government colleges such as CET Bhubaneswar, IGIT Sarang and PMEC Berhampur.

The OJEE 2025 seat matrix lists the total seats available for various professional programs (B.Tech lateral entry, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, etc.) across Odisha’s government and private institutions.

Seats are distributed among more than 50 participating institutes and are allotted based on OJEE rank, category and choices filled during counselling.

OJEE 2025 uses a normalization process to ensure fair scoring across different shifts.

Below is a concise step‑by‑step overview of how scores are computed and standardized for ranking.

Raw scores are calculated according to the marking scheme.

Since OJEE is conducted in multiple shifts with varying difficulty, percentile‑based normalization is applied to ensure fairness.

OJEE 2025 was conducted in multiple shifts across seven days — May 2 to May 12, 2025.

The exam covered courses such as MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, M.Tech and lateral‑entry programs.

Candidates should consult their admit card to confirm their individual exam date and shift.

The exam pattern varies by course (MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, M.Tech, etc.), but all papers are delivered in CBT mode.

Questions are multiple‑choice: +4 marks for a correct answer and −1 for each incorrect response.

The section‑wise exam pattern for major programs is provided below:

There is no limit on the number of attempts for OJEE as long as candidates meet the eligibility criteria, including required educational qualifications and age limits where applicable.

OJEE 2025 facilitated admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate and lateral‑entry professional programs in engineering, pharmacy, management and related fields across Odisha.

Applicants may appear for different programs according to their academic qualifications.

The OJEE 2025 admit card was released on April 25, 2025 and is available for download at ojee.nic.in.

Registered candidates must download the admit card using their application number and password to be allowed to sit for the exam.

No candidate will be admitted to the exam centre without a valid admit card.

The admit card is mandatory for verification on exam day and contains name, roll number, exam date and shift, exam centre details and important instructions.

The OJEE 2025 syllabus varies by program and typically includes subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.

Historically, over 70% of questions come from high‑weightage topics, so focused revision of core areas is recommended.

More than 100 institutions in Odisha — government, private and deemed — accept OJEE 2025 scores for admission to MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, M.Tech and other professional programs.

Top scorers usually secure seats at premier state institutes, while mid‑level candidates often gain admission to reputable private colleges.

Below is a list of notable colleges that accept OJEE 2025 scores.

OJEE 2025 was held across 33 cities — 30 within Odisha and 3 outside the state — to provide convenient access to candidates from different regions.
