Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) is organised by Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) to admit students into various UG and PG programs, such as B.Tech, B.Des, B.Pharmacy, Pharm.D, MBA, MCA and others. Candidates can join UPTAC Counselling 2025 based on scores from JEE Main, CUET UG, NATA and CUET PG.

AKTU is handling UPTAC 2025 counselling, which is currently underway for B.Tech and B.Arch on the official portal uptac.admissions.nic.in. Note that the B.Tech/B.Arch special round counselling dates have been updated.

The UPTAC 2025 counselling timetable for CUET UG/PG courses has been published on the portal – uptac.admissions.nic.in. Special Round 1 registration runs from September 8 to 10, with choice filling open until September 12, 2025. The Special Round 1 seat allotment will be out on September 13, 2025. Shortlisted candidates should pay the fee and confirm their willingness by September 15, 2025.

Note: Seat allotments up to Round 4 (main counselling) apply only to JEE, CUET UG and CUET PG candidates.

AKTU admits students to its programs using scores from several national entrance exams. Refer to the table below for the entrance tests accepted for each course.

The UPTAC counselling workflow for 2025 includes steps such as registration, document verification, choice filling and locking, among others. The sequence of steps is outlined below.

When registration opens for UPTAC 2025, applicants should access the official portal and complete the online application. The form requires personal and academic details and must be submitted along with the prescribed application fee (INR 1,000 or as specified by authorities).

During the application, candidates must upload the required documents as per AKTU’s specifications. Uploads should follow the size limits — signature up to 30 KB and photograph up to 100 KB — both in JPEG format. After uploading, documents must be verified. Candidates will receive SMS/Email updates once verification is complete and may then proceed to choice filling and locking.

When the choice filling window is active, applicants should enter preferences based on seat availability and their scores. Choices should reflect the institutes participating in UPTAC listed below.

After choice filling and locking are complete, AKTU will prepare the allotment list. Candidates can view allotment results on the official website. Those allotted seats must choose whether to freeze, float or withdraw.

Students accepting allotted seats must download the provisional allotment letter and report to their assigned institute to finish admission formalities. Bring original documents for verification and pay the remaining admission fee. The seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against the total fee.
