Registrations for XAT 2026 began on 10 July 2025 and will remain open until 5 December 2025. The exam is scheduled for 4 January 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 80+ cities in India.
XAT is a prominent MBA entrance test accepted by over 800 business schools in India, including top names like XLRI Jamshedpur, XIMB and IMT Ghaziabad.
To be eligible for XAT 2026, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree; there is no minimum percentage or age restriction. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in GD-PI rounds organized by individual institutes, with selection activities beginning in February 2026.

To apply for XAT 2026, candidates must meet basic academic criteria to broaden access to the exam.
There is no specified age limit or minimum percentage, though certain XLRI programs, especially some general management courses, require relevant work experience.
